So NCsoft’s Q4 2012 earning results are out now and although City of Heroes / Villains saw an increase in revenue after going F2P, it isn’t the huge jump you might expect to see. This could be one of the reasons why Paragon Studios has made the move of introducing variable ratio randomised rewards you pay for with real money Super Packs.
But I’ll go into that in more depth later today when I have time.
In other news… I predicted in 2012 that NetDevil would officially cease to exist and that is one step closer with Gazillion’s announcement that Fortune Online will be shutting down on February 29 so that they can focus more on those Marvel MMOs they are developing. Wonder how much time Jumpgate has left?
