In the past month:
- Dominus closed
- EA BioWare laid off a lot of people from Star Wars: The Old Republic
- 38 Studios imploded
- Fallen Earth was cut back to bare bones staffing numbers
- The Secret World delayed its launch
Some may see the above as just the culmination of a number of bad things happening at the same time, but if you squint and turn your head to the side, you will see the truth.
Syp did this all so you new bloggers have something to write about.
I’m not saying that he personally told all those studios to dial it down and is secretly at the heart of a worldwide conspiracy that controls MMO development… but he might be. And, at the very least, he picked May as the New Blogger Initiative month because… he knew.
Fear Syp. Fear him.
