I want to see equitable treatment of men and women in the gaming scene. Unfortunately I don’t think puting male and female pro-gamers in the same open-for-all tournament structure is going to help achieve this.

Valve and Apple appear to be converging on the same target – your living room. They both want to control it, which means controlling the television set. And Valve has to know that games alone aren’t going to be enough to control the TV.
